Had Mark from Advance Appliance come and take a look at my Stove since the panel was loose and broken from behind. Mark took a look and told me it’s best to fix it instead of replacing it cuz it would cost too much and everything still works. Mark was able to fix the loose panel by screwing it in place from the front. It worked like a charm and still looks great! Mark was easy to communicate with via phone/text. He is very punctual and lets you know when he’s on his way. His services were excellent, waived the diagnostics fee since I went through with the repair and only charged me labor. Highly recommend Mark and Advance Appliance if any of your appliances need repairs out of warranty. Will definitely contact Mark again for future repairs. ~ Paul E

I had a very positive impression of two technicians who came to my house last night. They calmly and meticulously completed a time-consuming task(compressor replacement) perfectly. I couldn't help but admire them as I watched. They even provided kind cleanup after finishing all the work. I received the best impression from any repair technician I have encountered in nearly the past ten years. Among them, there have been many who were dishonest and not sincere. However, these two were truly exemplary technicians in every way. I am really grateful to these kind and good technicians who perfectly repaired my broken refrigerator. After using a few appliance repair stores, we are so happy that we found this one! Customer representative (Gladys) is very nice and responsive. The technician arrived on time after a text message confirmation and call. We have a blue star 30" range cooktop which is not a common brand in market. Advance appliance put in much effort to source the parts from different locations in the States, with following up telling us the progress. No pressure at all when we hesitated. They held the quote and followed up one month later. Due to the high cost we did not go ahead. However, everything we experienced with Advance Appliance is very impressive and pleasant. We will definitely call them again if we need any appliance repair service. ~ Allison

Awesome service.... highly recommended! We were having a problem with the freezer part of our refrigerator in mid December, so I called and the team of Robert and Larry were promptly sent out to diagnose the problem. We required a part, which due to COVID times, was going to take about 2-3 to be delivered. We decided to order and make do. Robert and Larry came back the following day to try a interim part until our genuine part arrived, this did not fit, but we appreciated the extra effort. We got a call from them in early January saying the had fast tracked our required part and Robert was back later in the week to replace the part and the refrigerator was up and running like new. We greatly appreciated the professionalism, friendliness and extra effort that was shown to repair our refrigerator. Thanks Advance Appliance! ~ Christine D

After the power outage in January, my refrigerator stopped work. I ended up contacting Advance Appliance. Mark was the Service Technician. He quickly assessed the problems and showed me where the damages were (control board blew from the outage). He also noticed a slow small leak from the water hose for the water and ice line and fixed that. The control board was not available in Edmonton but he had it expedited overnight for the following day. Despite the bad roads, huge snowfall and his full work schedule, he still made time the following day and successfully fixed my fridge. Yay!!! He gave me tips if a outage happens again to prevent another issue. Friendly, professionally. Thank you Mark. Very happy customer. ~ H W

There are many places and choices when choosing an appliance repair company. For the most part they all charge the same amount, so what makes a good appliance company great? The service. I called and got an estimate, and it was repaired cheaper than quoted. On time. This company arrived just when expected. Professional. This company sent me text messages every step of the repair. My washer stopped working so this was my first time needing an appliance repair. After seeing all the great reviews on this company, decided to give them a call. What I love most is unlike some others, they will charge a basic flat labour charge, additional charges if parts are required. I had Sherwin come (came even earlier than the scheduled time) and he was able to diagnose and fix it within an hour. Showed me the problem and made some suggestions. Didn't need any new parts, so was just the labour I had to pay. Can't comment if the base labour charge was reasonable, as I don't know what other companies charge, but if it's a long job it will be much better than those that charge hourly. Plus the cost I paid was way better than having to replace the appliance! Will definitely use them again and recommend them to others. ~ W L

Advance Appliance Ltd is truly an expert appliance repair company. My wine cooler stopped working and the required replacement part was NLA (no longer available), so I thought the unit could no longer be repaired. The technician explained that since the part was no longer available, the only option was to repair the control board. I decided to proceed with the board repair, and I’m glad I did because the wine cooler has been working perfectly since then. It’s rare to find technicians with the knowledge and skills to repair components when parts are discontinued. First of all I appreciated the professional response when I called in to request a service call. I was asked to provide pictures of the broken switch on my dryer and a service tech was dispatched very quickly. When Mark arrived he was polite, professional and wearing a mask. He put booties on before walking into my home. After assessing the problem he provided an estimate for the work, which I approved immediately. He repaired the switch in short order and verified that it worked. Super service, fast and professional, my kind of company. My refrigerator"s compressor recently went caput two days before the busy days of Christmas (great timing right). I phoned advanced appliance and a technician arrived the next morning. Because it was the bust Christmas season, I was not expecting much. My technician, Mark, was very professional and diagnosed the problem. He was straight forward with his advice and provided my wife and I with a quote. We had to decide if the fridge was worth fixing or buying new. Considering the fridge was still in great shape (besides the compressor) Mark suggested that the fridge was worth fixing. Because Christmas was 48 hours away, getting the necessary parts was a challenge. Mark found the part and four days later he installed the new compressor as promised. Early days, fridge was just repaired yesterday, but is now running cold. No reason to expect otherwise. What I liked about Advanced Appliance was they spelled everything out up front. Grace who took our original call was very professional, confirmed I understood the details and promised a time range for the service call. That service call happened on time. Service tech Mark, also professional. Diagnosed the problem, explained it clearly and outlined a couple possible scenarios depending on availability of the new compressor, whether in stock or having to order/ship, so there would be no unforeseen disappointments. Are they the cheapest? No idea. I'm old enough that everything seems expensive nowadays. They came when they said they would. They explained costs and time frame to complete work and the process unfolded as they explained. So, worth it to me. ~ Neutrino H

(Thurs July 06th; 2023) Thx for spending your time replacing the control panel / unit on our washing machine today 😁👍🏻 Plus the other issue you came across and resolved to ensure we had a functioning washing machine before dinner tonite that we could rely on …. Yipppeeee !!!! No more hand washing in the sinks or spending hours hauling dirty laundry to the closest Laundromat and washing and folding or hanging clean items up and then hauling everything back our house to disburse to the proper closets and bedrooms. Thanks for sending your technician, RJ. He is excellent at his job and replaced/tested the part I requested for the repair in just 30 minutes. My LG dishwasher runs perfectly again, like when purchased brand new from thr Home Depot. Out of curiosity, I took the motor out myself before RJ arrived. He recognized that I had done that because he saw one clamp and hose was not quite in the correct position when he was ready to replace the pump. At least I put the ground screw back in correctly. Great guy, awesome recruit, reliable and friendly service. I would call Appliance Repair again because of RJ. Grace was a great voice and attitude on phones too. Thanks so much to all. I highly recommend Advance Appliance Ltd for appliance repair. Mark, the technician, did an outstanding job fixing the control board on my GE refrigerator. The fridge had stopped cooling, and he was able to diagnose the issue quickly and repair the board instead of replacing unnecessary parts. After the repair, the refrigerator is now back to cooling perfectly. Mark was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient throughout the service. Have used Advance Appliance three times now over the last three years: for a pair of installations (dish washer and microwave), as well as repairs on a washer and dryer. Each and every time they have been prompt, super friendly, and incredibly efficient. Even when forced to wait for a part, it arrived a few days early and they called to let me know, then turned up and installed it within a few hours. Will definitely be the ones I call with any future appliance help I need. We had a leak coming from our freezer and were able to get assistance from Advance Appliance quickly and with great service! We called early on a Saturday hoping to get someone out quick as there was a significant amount of water leaking from the kitchen into our basement. We also have a very uncommon make and model for our freezer appliance which meant lots of repair companies in and around Edmonton were not able to assist us. The team at advanced appliance helped us out right away and were able to send Mark out to help us out within an hour. Mark showed up and diagnosed the problem quickly and did a fantastic job helping us to address the issue and ensure the leak was fixed. Mark also provided us with some great information for future preventative maintenance and ensured that if any other issues arose, we could reach out to him again for further assistance. My stove had an electrical arc and burning rubber smell. It didn't work and it was found that the mother board had short circuited. Mark took it back to the shop to repair and Robert returned to install it. That then gave me burners as with its installation, we then found that the oven's mother board had fried too. The part was discontinued and might have to be on back order but they would check if they could find one. They did a couple of days later and Robert installed it. Oven works great and thanks to them, Christmas is saved. Mark and Robert are assets to the company both for their expertise and customer service. ~ Grace D

My KitchenAid oven has a control panel that stopped displaying. It's over 10 years old. Fortunately, Advance Appliance was able to pinpoint the exact source of the problem quickly (a loose connection) which meant that we didn't need to order any parts. When they were finished, I had additional miscellaneous questions, and they helped with those. They even helped me locate the correct breaker for the oven (it was mislabelled). There are many reviewers mentioning how polite these guys are, and I was -- to be honest -- a little skeptical, but they actually are really down-to-earth pleasant guys. Our brand new kitchenaid fridge was slowly getting warmer and warmer each day so we called the retailer that we purchased it from. We were referred to Advance appliance repair and they had their tech Mark come out to take a look (on a Saturday I'll add). He took great care while moving the fridge and looking into the issue. He quickly found the problem and explained what had happened. He was able to repair the problem circuit and our fridge was running as it should within 45 minutes. Very professional and knowledgeable!
